Google Ads for Home Services · Nationwide

    Google Ads for home services
    that make the phone ring.

When a pipe bursts or the AC quits, people search and call fast. I build Google Ads campaigns for plumbers, HVAC, electricians, roofers, cleaners and other home service companies across the US — focused on real calls from your actual service area.

    Sound familiar?

If any of these hit home, you're in the right place.

You're getting calls from outside the area you actually serve
Clicks come in for jobs you don't do — or DIY searchers who'll never hire anyone
Lead-gen services sell the same lead to you and three competitors
You can't tell which calls came from Google Ads and which turned into jobs
Your ads run when nobody is around to answer the phone

Why home services need a different approach

Home service searches split into two kinds: urgent ('emergency plumber near me', 'AC not working') and planned ('roof replacement quote', 'kitchen remodel'). Urgent searchers want to call right now; planned searchers compare options. Treating them the same wastes money, so I usually separate them into different campaigns with different ads, schedules and budgets.

Service area matters just as much. A plumbing company that covers one county shouldn't pay for clicks two counties over. I set location targeting to match the zip codes or radius you actually serve, and make sure Google only shows ads to people located there — not people who just mentioned the area.

How I build home service campaigns

We start with the jobs you want more of, the ones you'd rather not take, your service area and your hours. Then I build campaigns around specific services — water heaters, drain cleaning, AC repair, panel upgrades, roof repair — so ads match exactly what someone searched for.

Call tracking is essential here. I set up conversion tracking for calls from ads and calls from your website, plus form requests, so we can see which services and keywords are bringing in real enquiries. Ads are scheduled around when you can answer, with call-focused assets so mobile searchers can tap to call immediately.

Ongoing, I review search terms to block DIY, parts, job-seeker and out-of-scope searches, and shift budget toward the services that bring in the work you want. If you also use Google's Local Services Ads, I'll make sure the two work together rather than compete.

    Your website still matters

Even with call-focused ads, many people check your site first. A clear page for each service, your service area, proof you're licensed where required and an obvious phone number all help. The free website check will flag the biggest issues.

    Frequently asked questions

Which home service businesses do you work with?

Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, cleaning, landscaping, pest control, garage doors and similar trades. If you serve homeowners in a defined area, I can likely help.

Should I use Google Ads or Local Services Ads?

Often both. They show in different places and work differently. I'll look at your situation and recommend how to split effort and budget.

How do you stop calls from outside my area?

By targeting only the locations you serve and setting Google to show ads to people physically in those areas, then reviewing location data regularly.

How do you price home service campaigns?

Custom quotes based on your services, area and goals. Ad spend is paid directly to Google with no markup.

Do you work with contractors in other states?

Yes. I work remotely with home service businesses anywhere in the US.
